When taking a citizen’s fingerprint on a contract or document, attention should be paid to the following:
Ensure the identity of the person being fingerprinted.
The employee or lawyer should personally prepare the finger and place it on the document.
The entire fingerprint should be uniformly pressed.
The citizen should be fingerprinted on an outer sheet to test the degree of pressing, so that it is not too dense and obscures the cavities between the lines, or too light and difficult to see.
The finger should be moved in one direction to take the complete fingerprint without stopping or moving the finger back.
The fingerprint should include the edges of the print, the middle of the finger, and should not be a partial print.
The finger used for fingerprinting should be written below the print.
